WELCOME

My goal is to connect with organizations and individuals and use my extensive knowledge of volunteer resource management to assist in attaining successful outcomes. I can provide customized training sessions, consulting services, and other related volunteer management initiatives.

My personal experience as a volunteer led to my career change. I volunteered on a regular basis for the first time in my mid 30’s and discovered the rewards as well as the challenges of volunteerism. Good intentions are more effective and rewarding when guidance, leadership and planning are components of the volunteer experience (volunteer history).

My first job in volunteer administration was with a community-based organization, then a licensed nursing home, followed by a volunteer center, and then a hospital (career history). I've benefited from my professional associations as well as the formal and informal mentors who have supported me (affiliations). Over the last several years I've added workshop facilitation, consulting services and teaching to my resume (conferences/teaching). Topics I've presented (program topics) can be customized to meet any organization's specific needs.

“Jerry is an amazing presenter. He is flexible in tailoring presentations to the needs of his audience, energetic, thoughtful, and a great listener! He responds well to group interactions and can make everyone feel an important part of the dialogue. He is very well versed in volunteer management and administrative issues and is sensitive to the many subtleties that present themselves in our work so is very responsive to the variety of needs of professionals and volunteers. From the administrative perspective he is a wonderful colleague, timely, cooperative, willing to pitch in, and with a sincere desire to see an event succeed. His sense of humor, lively style and kindness make him a great choice for conducting workshops and conference sessions!”
